Architectural competitions: mirrors of innovation

This talk will explore the ways architects take residential, matter-of-fact desires into consideration. Most notably, it will propose a reasoned catalog of typological innovation as it emerges from architectural competitions [flyer].

Speaker

Bruno Marchand is a professor with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL). Besides his teaching activities, he does research on architectural theories. He has co-written several studies on city planning and has participated in several architectural projects, in particular apartment building projects.
